Daniel Scott, Cambridge High School Band Director
Daniel Scott is excited to be in his fifth year as the Director of Bands for Cambridge High School. Mr. Scott is a graduate of Western Carolina University where he received a BM in Trombone Performance and a minor in Bassoon, as well as a BS.Ed and a minor in psychology with a concentration in adolescent development. He received his master's degree in Educational Psychology from UGA and is currently pursuing his doctorate in Music Education from Boston University. Prior to coming to Cambridge, Mr. Scott was the Director of Bands at Swansboro High School in Swansboro, NC. While at Swansboro High School, he was named the Swansboro High School Teacher of the Year, the 2019-2020 Onslow County Teacher of the Year for his school district, and in 2020 was named Burroughs Wellcome Fund Southeast Regional Teacher of the Year.
In his time within the performing arts, Mr. Scott has worked with numerous award-winning programs across the Southeast Region, including the world class organization Spirit of Atlanta Drum and Bugle Corps, where he was named the Brass Caption Head in his 5th year with the drum corps. In the summer of 2014 he was a member of The Cavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps. In addition to the outdoor sector, Mr. Scott was the Music Director for the WGI Open Class Winds Group, Carolina Gold Winds, which won the silver medal at the 2016 WGI World Championship.
Joseph Tribble - Color Guards Director
Joseph Tribble is the new Director of Color Guards at Cambridge High School in Milton, Georgia, where he leads one of the region’s most respected and dynamic programs. Prior to Cambridge, Joseph lead the color guard program at South Forsyth High School. Under his leadership, the South Forsyth Color Guard has consistently achieved high levels of success, including earning top placements at SAPA Championships in the A and Open classes and reaching WGI semifinals. Joseph’s commitment to excellence, creativity, and student growth has helped establish South Forsyth as a competitive and inspiring presence in the pageantry arts.
With over a decade of experience in the marching arts, Joseph has been a driving force behind several successful programs across the Southeast. He has served on instructional staff for groups such as Paramount, Edge Independent, Center Stage, and East Paulding High School, bringing his passion and expertise to both scholastic and independent ensembles.
As a performer, Joseph honed his skills with nationally recognized groups including Carolina Crown, Paramount, and Atlanta CV, experiences that continue to inform his teaching and choreography. He is known for his ability to build strong team culture, develop performers of all skill levels, and create visually compelling shows that resonate with both audiences and adjudicators.
Beyond the field and floor, Joseph is dedicated to mentoring young performers and cultivating a positive, inclusive environment where students can grow as both artists and individuals. His work reflects a deep commitment to the advancement of the activity and the development of the next generation of performers.
